Build me your dream car. Not a car you can configure on the internet that is available to anyone with sufficient funds, but if you were the head designer and engineer of a car, how would you make it? No budget, no limit, no pesky safety or emission regulations, just your imagination.

Kinja'd!!!

What I would have:

- aluminum frame with carbon-fiber tub and cage

- body style somewhat akin to the Audi Quattro, but a more severe slant in the rear and 2 seater

- front mounted turbo straight 5 cylinder engine

- gated manual shifter, gate made out of CF of course

- RWD

- Front splitter, rear wing

- low ride hight

- slate grey body color

- slate grey sparco seats, red stitching

- 3 spoke steering wheel

- 1 piece carbon fiber wheels

- red calipers

What would you have?

A Rolls-Royce Phantom with all-wheel drive and a bigger engine.

All I know is that I need 30 MPG, the ability to tow and haul, and it has to be a monster in the corners.

Leather and wood everywhere, Mercedes-Maybach level of rear seat accommodations, rotary hybrid engine, AWD, sedan, gullwing rear doors, 10-speed automatic.

I might be too simple for this game. My dream car was built the year I was born.

The Baldwin Motion 1973 Chevelle SS is a 1 of 1. Upgraded with a rowdy 427 and an overdrive for Street use. Those sexy sidepipes and 5 slot mags.. Damn!

Yeah.

A Fiat X1/9, but it have a built K20 (cam shafts, cylinder head, lighted intermals) w/ a supercharger on top of it, full roll cage, wide fender flares, wing, ankle chopping front slipper, custom sequential transmission, and all the unmentioned go fast bits.

Something like this:

I would like a station wagon that has a twin turbo charged flat 6 engine that shares the AWD setup with the Ford RS200. Flat 6 will be camless and will be able to run on 2 cylinders or 6. Gated Manual, Carbon fiber wheel, Reclinable Sports bolstered Seats made of kangaroo leather for all. Rear facing jump seats. 3 Seats in the middle to add up to a 7 seat configuration. The car is also designed to have compartments inside the interior plastics for storage space. The car will also have the capability to have an entirely flat floor with all the seats folding down to a flat floor. The entire body will be made from a titanium and carbon fiber weave. The chassis will be one of the stiffest of any car. The body will have minimal a/b/C pillars while matching safety standards to Swedish standards. If it was to go racing, there would be no need for a FIA cage. Forged rally spec wheels on all 4 corners. 6 pot brakes on the front, 4 pots in the rear. Active aero on the entire body. Completely flat undercarriage. Oh yes manufacturer support for all modifications and right to repair.

Wagon, blue, under 3,400 lbs, sleek looking (not bulky), lifted (because recce car), good AWD (not that FWD with occasional assistance from the rears BS), center differential controller, manual, turbo 4/5 making 325-375 hp, big ass sunroof, black leather interior, heated/air conditioned seats, heated steering wheel.

Carbon monocoque, 800-ish horsepower car, branded a Viper. Large ducktail spoiler, wide fenders make for a IMSA GTO-class unregulated monster in modern style. Dual clutch Ferrari-developed transmission unique to the car. 730 horse 8.0 V10, 70 horses or more from hybrid power to all four wheels interchangeably corner to corner. Still front-mid engine

Something like a BMW M3 E92, maybe with a more Audi-like. I like the way a BMW drives and the way an Audi looks. Sharp lines, LED lights, rear-wheel drive, gated manual transmission (of course), a cozy interior in maybe gray, red, brown/beige, something like that. Exterior color, not sure. It really depends on my mood lol. Should be relatively light with very good handling.

Doesn’t have to be exactly Audi design but something inspired by these would be awesome.

Something that looks like a 6th generation Camaro but has slightly better rear visibility painted dark metallic blue, LED lights all around and a small integrated rear lip spoiler. Has a BMW-esque NA I6 with 350ish horsepower and an exhaust note to match, but is as reliable as a small block Chevy. Interior designer by Volvo and swathed in Saddle leathers and real brushed aluminum. An 8 speed ZF automatic. Adaptive GM magnride dampers. A bangin’ sound system (B&O probably) with fancy moving speakers. Wheels similar to those on an E46 CSL with those cool wavy brakes Audi uses on the R8 with black calipers behind them. Steering wheel borrowed from current BMW M cars, attached to a Porsche sourced EPS system. Full glass roof with black suede headliner.

Carbon fiber body very very similar to a 280zx coupe but with blended fender flares and outrageous louvers over a carbon fiber monocoque with Adjustable coilovers, 16" deep dish mesh magnesium wheels with fat sidewall and 10 inch wide rear tires, powered by a naturally aspirated 8L DOHC 32 valve inline 8 cylinder engine with 8 individual carbs and intake trumpets making 600 whp and 850 ft lbs dumping unmuffled and Uncatted out of the front fenders just below the hood line with 4 pipes on each side like a p51 mustang. (Routing pipes under the engine and over to the other side is unrealistic but whatevs) 5 speed gated manual, line lock, 5 pot willwoods with the wavy rotors, hydraulic handbrake, stock 280zx interior with the digital dash recalibrated But with 4 point belts. I’ll update if I think of anything else

Edit 1: whale tail spoiler

My dream car is just part of my dream marque, which is a merger of Ariel and the revival of Matra and Simca.

Simca will be a back-to-basics version of BMW with the entire lineup in RWD. First, a RWD subcompact (yes, even the bog-standard econobox will be RWD—and diesel!!!), then a BMW 1er-like in hatch and sedan (diesel, petrol, and hybrid), then a 3er-like (diesel, petrol, and hybrid) in sedan, coupe, and wagon (3-door and 5-door), and 5er-like (diesel, petrol, and hybrid) with V6, V8, and V10 engine choices.

Ariel is going to be two things: (1) it will be the SUV/truck brand, with a CUV and SUV on a Nomad platform ( ABSOLUTELY NO SUV COUPES!!! , though I’m thinking of buying Local Motors so their Rally Fighter does the job and will fight the Lambo Urus for half the price), and shall make a new platform that trucks and vans will share. They shall also serve as the skunkworks for Simca to breathe in performance to them and fight other performance cars in their class.

Matra, meanwhile, shall be the all-sports marque, with a tier 2 sportscar (Miata/86 class), tier 1 sportscar (Cayman/4C/M2/TT/Mustang subclass and F-type/California subclass), grand touring/executive supercoupe (M6, RS5) tier 2 supersport (570S/R8/911/AMG-GT class), tier 1 super-exotic (458/488, 911 RS, 650S class), and a hypercar, with a 4.4-liter, 12500rpm V12 with a 12MJ KERS system, bamboo-sourced carbon construction (with a weave that’s 3x lighter and 3x stronger than F1's carbon), exhaust-blown active double diffuser, and optional manual.
